Pepper Remastered coming soon

I've decided to create a more feature-rich version of Pepper, an experimental virtual VR device that allows you to use SteamVR without requiring a physical VR headset or controllers. Using only a keyboard and mouse, Pepper creates a fake VR device that SteamVR recognizes, allowing you to play supported VR games from your Steam library. The original Pepper that I made a few months ago was a small proof-of-concept showing that it was possible to create a software-only VR device using SteamVR's driver system. While it worked, it was limited and required a lot of manual setup. Pepper Remastered aims to rebuild the project with a stronger foundation, better usability, and more features. What is changing in Pepper? Full rewrite of the Pepper VR driver architecture Support for a more realistic virtual HMD and controller system Improved SteamVR compatibility and stability New Pepper control center for managing settings and devices Advanced keyboard and mouse VR controls Custom controller mapping and input profiles Support for gamepads as virtual VR controllers Improved virtual tracking and movement system Adjustable movement speed, sensitivity, and smoothing Better driver performance and reduced latency Automatic SteamVR driver installation Easier setup process for new users Improved error reporting and debugging tools Real-time tracking and device monitoring Modular system for adding new input methods Virtual device profiles and configuration support Better support for experimental VR setups Foundation for future OpenXR support Experimental Phone Support Alongside the PC version, I have also been experimenting with mobile support.
