Peggy Gou’s Pixel Partnership Was Personal to Her: ‘Sound Quality Is Everything to Me’

Peggy Gou is taking her show on the road this fall, and she’s taking a few Google Pixel accessories along with her. The DJ teamed up with Google last month to help unveil the Pixel 11 smartphone and the latest Pixel Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds. Gou was on hand for the tech giant’s “Made by Google” event in New York, where stars like Trevor Noah, Steph Curry, and Alex Cooper helped to introduce the new Pixel lineup. UNLOCKED VERSION Google Pixel 11 Pro The new Pixel 11 Pro phone is slim and sleek but packed with big features, like a 50MP main camera and 48MP sensor, with improved light sensitivity to adjust for low light environments. A telephoto camera gets up to 5x optical zoom and up to 120x Super Res zoom. A new “HiLight” feature, meantime, uses a notification light on the back of the phone to alert you when important calls or texts come in (you can assign specific colors to contacts in your phone). That way, you’re not tied to your screen and can decide whether or not to pick up. There’s plenty of space for your favorite apps and everything is packaged into a sophisticated housing, powered by the Tensor G6 chip (the “fastest, most powerful chip yet,” according to Google) with an IP68 rating to be waterproof and dustproof. Google Gou says she was eager to work with Google after getting a sneak peek at their new product lineup. “I try to keep brand partnerships intentional and matched to my personal taste,” she tells Rolling Stone. “I love that Google combines beautiful products with powerful technology.” Gou has been spotted using a Pixel 11 Pro phone and the DJ says it “makes my life easier,” citing the phone’s “real-time translation [feature] when I’m traveling, hands-free control with Gemini, and ‘Magic Cue’ feature, which helps organize my life on tour, from connecting with my team, to group chats and logistics.” “I really love the camera for capturing photos in settings where the light can be quite dark,” she adds. “The camera handles low light incredibly well.
