Paul O'Grady's widower has relisted the TV legend's beloved Kent Edwardian mansion for £2.4million after he slashed the asking price. The Lily Savage star lived at Knoll Hill House, near the tiny village of Aldington in Kent, for nearly 24 years. Since Mr O'Grady's death in March 2023, aged 67, his husband Andre Portasio has struggled to sell the seven-bedroom farmhouse. It first went up for sale in September 2024 for a whopping £3.5million but, when no buyers came forward, the price was slashed by almost a million in January 2025 to £2.65million.The property then disappeared from the market before being relisted once again at the lower asking price of £2.4million. Former ballet dancer Mr Portasio has drafted in new agents – luxury property brokers Moveli – in the hope of being successful this time around, with glossy new pics of the spectacular mansion, which comes with a swimming pool, dance studio and two guest cottages. The 46-year-old hasn't named the Lily Savage star anywhere in the sales blurb – yet Mr O'Grady can still be spotted in the new photos.High on the wall of the mirrored dance studio hang framed pictures of the comedian and his two most famous TV sidekicks – Shih Tzu-Bichon Frise cross Buster and Cairn Terrier cross Olga, who both starred alongside him on The Paul O'Grady Show. When the pooch died in 2009, a heartbroken Mr O'Grady broke the news live on air and Olga took Buster's place until her own death in 2018.As well as the removal of any reference to Mr O'Grady in the advert, there have been some intriguing changes to the listing.Moveli's listing, posted on October 8, boasts around 25.5 acres – almost five acres more than the 20.62 acres previously advertised. And there's also 'additional land by separate negotiation'.It's not clear where all these extra acres and land have come from, although Mr O'Grady bought a patch of land near the house to stop it becoming a motorbike scrambling and paintball site – and to rear sheep. The floor space has crept up from 5,655 sq ft to 5,859 sq ft with the listing now counting eight reception rooms instead of seven. The place has had a makeover too. Gone are the bright, wide-angle snaps of the old listing. The gym in side the late TV legend's home where pictures of Mr O'Grady with his beloved pet dogs are still visible Now the style is more moody, interiors magazine-style shots – close-ups of vintage champagne lined up in the larder, a sleek black marble bathroom, and a roll-top bath set against wood-panelled walls hung with seafaring oil paintings. The separate dance studio, which Mr O'Grady built for his husband, has its own steam room, gym and a guest suite upstairs.A second house, The Timber Cottage, has an 'open-plan sitting area/kitchenette, galleried bedroom and shower room'.It also advertises gardens with ponds, a barn, stables, orchard, paddocks and woodland. Neighbour Fred Jaeger, who lives opposite and has called it the best house in Kent, told the Daily Mail last year: 'I just wish Andre would decide what he wants to do with it.'Fellow residents previously accused Mr Portasio of 'cashing in' when he dropped the asking price in January 2025.One neighbour said: 'We've not seen Andre much at all. It just feels like he's trying to cash in on the property after Paul died with all these various plans.'It's really sad. Now he's lowered the price. There's a big difference between the sort of people who would pay £3.5 million and £2.65 million, in my opinion.'It's worth more than three million, I would say. I wish he would just decide what he wants to do with it and get on with it.'It's an absolutely stunning property and I am sure Paul had many cherished memories there.' Mr O'Grady bought the Edwardian property from comedian Vic Reeves in 1999 for £650,000, and wrote in his book Country Life that on his first night, 'I couldn't sleep I was so excited.' Past and present neighbours include fellow comedians Julian Clary and Alan Carr.
