It solves the information overload crisis for Chinese-speaking AI researchers and students — over 300 new papers hit arXiv every day, and non-native English speakers spend hours struggling with dense academic English. PaperPulse provides structured Chinese summaries covering key innovations, technical approaches, experimental results, and limitations. Now’s a good time for PaperPulse to exist because the sheer volume of global AI research is accelerating rapidly, making efficient and accessible knowledge transfer absolutely critical for non-English-speaking researchers.What is your traction to date? How many people does PaperPulse reach?Pre-launch. PaperPulse just launched on GitHub Pages (July 30, 2026). Based on the size of the Chinese AI research community (50,000+ CS graduate students in China, 200,000+ AI practitioners), we conservatively project 5,000-10,000 monthly active users within 3 months through organic community growth on Zhihu, Xiaohongshu, and WeChat.Who does your PaperPulse serve? What’s exciting about your users and customers?Chinese-speaking AI researchers, ML graduate students, and AI engineers who need to stay current with global AI research but struggle with dense academic English. The global AI community is over 70% non-native English speakers, yet almost all top papers are published in English. PaperPulse bridges this gap with high-quality Chinese summaries.What technologies were used in the making of PaperPulse? And why did you choose the ones most essential to your tech stack?To build PaperPulse, we utilized tools like Bright Data and Storyblok alongside a custom stack featuring Python, Gradio, HuggingFace Spaces, and the arXiv API. We specifically chose DeepSeek for our LLM-based summarization to accurately handle dense academic texts, and tied everything together with a fast, JSON-based static data pipeline hosted on GitHub Pages for optimal accessibility and seamless updates.What is traction to date for PaperPulse? Around the web, who’s been noticing?As a pre-launch project just deployed on July 30, 2026, PaperPulse is currently building its initial footprint with 18 fully summarized AI papers across 8 research categories available on our live demo and GitHub repository. Positioned for organic community growth on platforms like Zhihu and Xiaohongshu, we are targeting 500+ GitHub stars and 5,000+ monthly visitors within our first three months of promotion.What excites you about PaperPulse's potential usefulness?Three things:1. Massive underserved market — 70% of global AI researchers are non-native English speakers, yet every major AI paper is in English. PaperPulse is the first open-source tool specifically designed to solve this.2.
