OpenZFS 2.4.4 is out today as the newest stable point release for this ZFS file-system implementation for Linux and FreeBSD systems. Most significant with the OpenZFS 2.4.4 release is now having support in place for the recent Linux 7.2 stable kernel release. All the necessary changes are now in place for the out-of-tree OpenZFS file-system to jive nicely with the upstream Linux 7.2 kernel state. Compatibility back through Linux 4.18 is maintained and then of course the FreeBSD 13.3+ support too. OpenZFS 2.4.4 also brings dozens of bug fixes including updated test cases, various security policy improvements, making systemd-udev-settle optional for the import units, various other Linux kernel compatibility fixes, and a wide variety of other fixes.
