OpenAI announced today they have brought their ChatGPT Desktop application to Linux and is currently in preview form. The ChatGPT Desktop App is now available in preview form for Linux with working CHatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex integration. The ChatGPT Desktop App for Linux has been tested/validated on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, Debian 13, and Fedora 43/44. There are both x64 and ARM64 RPM and Debian packages available for this closed-source Linux app. OpenAI announced today's Linux app preview on X and can be downloaded for those interested from OpenAI.com.
