Nushratt Bharuccha undergoes spine surgery after Bali accident, begins recovery

Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha’s team has shared an official health update confirming that she has been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering at home following successful spine surgery in Mumbai. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor had recently suffered a spinal fracture after meeting with an accident during a work-cum-leisure trip to Bali, Indonesia.After receiving preliminary medical evaluation abroad, she was airlifted to Mumbai via an air ambulance for advanced surgical intervention, with her team assuring fans that the procedure went smoothly.An official statement released on behalf of the actor read, "After going through a difficult and challenging phase following her unfortunate accident, Nushrratt Bharuccha has successfully undergone spine surgery. We are relieved to share that the surgery went well, and she has now been discharged from the hospital (sic)."It further emphasised that while her road to complete recovery will require time and complete rest, she remains in good spirits. "Nushrratt is finally back home, surrounded by care and comfort, as she begins the important journey towards recovery. While the road to complete recovery will take time, she remains positive and is focusing on healing and regaining her strength. We sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming love, concern, prayers and good wishes extended to her during this difficult time (sic)," the statement concluded.The update comes shortly after Bharuccha shared a brief glimpse of her hospital stay on social media, showing her watching the romantic track Gerua featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol while medical staff assisted her. Expressing gratitude to her well-wishers, the actor highlighted that she was "healing slowly" while keeping a positive mindset through her treatment. Meanwhile, Bharuccha's last theatrical release was Ufff Yeh Siyapaa (2025). The film also featured actors Sohum Shah, Nora Fatehi, Omkar Kapoor and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.- Ends
