Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Step Out to Support North West at First Headlining ShowKim Kardashian and Kanye West’s final months of marriage were not totally up for public consumption. Five years after the SKIMS mogul and the rapper, also known as Ye, officially filed for divorce, an excerpt from an upcoming biography reveals that a low moment that was cut from a Keeping Up With A Kardashians episode. According to former KUTWK producer Farnaz Farjam, as the family was attempting to mend ties with Caitlyn Jenner by celebrating her birthday together in 2020, Ye instead made the event about his attempt to run for president, picking a fight with his then-wife and her mom Kris Jenner. “Kanye came to Caitlyn’s house with Kim,” Farjam explained in an excerpt of Jonathan Van Meter’s upcoming Citizen Kim biography shared with The Cut Oct. 13, “and he just started ripping into Kris and the family and questioning them about not voting for him. He just made it all about himself.”When it came to the status of Kim and Kanye’s then-seven-year marriage, Farjam admitted it was easy to see they were going through a rough patch. “That whole 30-minute battle was very telling,” he said, “but we had to edit it out.” Instead, what was featured in the Oct. 28, 2020, episode was a clip of Kim crying to her sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. “I just honestly can’t do this anymore,” Kim—who was previously married to Damon Thomas and Kris Humphries—said. “I feel like a f--king failure and it’s, like, a third f--king marriage...Yeah, I feel like a f--king loser.” Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/ShutterstockNevertheless, Kim—mom to North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8 and Psalm, 7, with Ye—had realized that her marriage to the “Runaway” rapper was over. “He should have a wife that supports his every move,” she said at the time, “and travels with him and does everything I can’t.” Kim went on to file for divorce from Ye in 2021, and the pair finalized their separation a year later. In the years since, the Kardashians star—who began dating Lewis Hamilton earlier this year—admitted that the fracture in her relationship with Ye was largely due to his struggles with his bipolar disorder diagnosis. "There was just a lot of things that I wouldn't deal with," she said during an appearance on Call Her Daddy last year. "I didn't like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids' grandmother, aunts—all of those feelings.
