‘Nobody Wants This’ Renewed For Season 4 By Netflix

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes renewal. Nobody Wants This has joined an elite group of Netflix live-action comedy series, which have run for four or more seasons as Erin Foster’s rom-com starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody has been picked up for a fourth season. It has been another quick renewal for the show too, coming just two weeks after Season 3 was released on October 22. While below the Season 2 opening — a downward trend affecting all Netflix returning series — Nobody Wants This has been resilient, delivering the largest opening week for a returning comedy series on the streamer this year. It has accumulated 13.4 million views in its first two weeks, making Netflix’s global Top 10 both weeks. “Great love stories never go out of style, and Nobody Wants This has become a true cultural phenomenon,” Netflix’s VP of Comedy Series US Tracey Pakosta said. “This incredible creative team has built a show that grows with its audience, and our members around the world have embraced it season after season. We cannot be more excited for Season 4.” Watch on Deadline After recommitting to each other at the end of Season 2, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) moved in together at the start of Season 3. By the finale, Joanne had converted and the two had an impromptu wedding on the beach, while the duo’s siblings, Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Morgan (Justine Lupe), had embarked on a complicated romance. Nobody Wants This was created by Erin Foster who serves as co-showrunner alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan. The trio executive produce alongside Bell, Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton, along with Oly Obst who executive produces for 3arts. The series, which films in Los Angeles, comes from 20th Television. “We are so happy and thrilled to do another season of our favorite show on television, which coincidentally is the one we run,” Erin Foster, Konner and Kaplan said. Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Andrew Rannells, Sarah Silverman, Shiloh Bearman and Sherry Cola also star in the comedy, which has amassed 78.5 million cumulative views and reached the Top 10 in 89 countries. Brody, who plays Rabbi Noah Roklov, stirred controversy during the promotional campaign for Season 3 with his public support for “Free Palestine,” drawing “differences of opinion” reactions from Erin Foster and Feldshuh, who plays Noah’s mother on the show.
