Neurosis, Featuring Revamped Lineup, Perform First Show in Seven Years: Watch

Neurosis performed live for the first time in seven years on Saturday, July 25th, during the Fire in the Mountains festival in East Glacier, Montana. The performance showcased the band’s newly revamped lineup featuring Aaron Turner (ISIS, SUMAC, Old Man Gloom) on vocals and guitar, replacing longtime frontman Scott Kelly. Get Neurosis Tickets Here The set was heavy on material from their newest album, 2026’s An Undying Love for a Burning World. The remainder of the set acted as a career-spanning survey of sorts, focusing on some of their most acclaimed albums, including Enemy of the Sun, Times of Grace, A Sun That Never Sets, and Given to the Rising. As seen in fan-filmed video, guitarist Steve Von Till’s opening shouted lines for “We Are Torn Wide Open” opened the set with ferocity as the band went into the deep theatrics that underpin their music. They showed a remarkable command of dynamics, fitting given the panoramic psychedelia of their material. Turner played as though he had been in the band for years and years with an undeniable chemistry already attested to on An Undying Love for a Burning World‘s studio release. It was a mighty return for one of experimental, psychedelic, progressive, and heavy music’s finest acts. Neurosis are currently preparing for three additional live dates this year in support of An Undying Love for a Burning World, which topped Consequence‘s mid-year list of the Best Albums of 2026 So Far.
