Netflix boss gives cryptic response to Meghan Markle’s ‘The Gentlemen’ casting rumors

Netflix boss Manda Levin fueled speculation around Meghan Markle’s casting in “The Gentlemen” with a cryptic response. “All bets are off,” the scripted chief replied when asked about Markle’s rumored casting at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Wednesday. Last week, Page Six reported that the Duchess of Sussex is being considered for a currently unknown role in Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s action-comedy series. While Markle’s rep wasn’t available for comment, a Netflix representative confirmed to Page Six that the series has been renewed for a third season. “The Gentlemen,” starring Theo James, premiered on Netflix in March 2024, with its second season set to debut Sept. 3. Markle, best known for her breakout role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama “Suits” from 2011 to 2018, announced her decision to step back acting to focus on royal life in 2017 following her engagement to Harry. In November 2025, eight years after she stepped back from the big screen, Page Six reported that Markle was making her big return acting. She is set to make a cameo as herself in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy “Close Personal Friends” with Brie Larson and Lily Collins. A release date has yet to be announced.
