Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and TDP official spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy and others were also present at the meeting.The Minister hoped that a spiritual atmosphere would prevail at the ghat on the final day of the festival when the idols would be brought for immersion in the waters.Referring to the temporary infrastructure arranged at the water body, Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy said that a permanent Ganesh Ghat would be developed soon. He also offered to bring it to the notice of the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and local MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy to obtain the necessary permissions and financial support.Meanwhile, Mr. Sridhar Reddy announced that the works for the permanent Ganesh Ghat would start within a fortnight of the immersion ceremony. He also thanked the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Ponguru Narayana for his efforts to secure funds for the project.The meeting also decided to invite Veda pundits to offer ‘Ganga Harathi’ to the water body on September 18.
