Donald Trump just won't stop using the Neil Young song "Rockin' In The Free World" as entrance music at his rallies. As you might imagine, Young is not thrilled about this. Time and again, Young has made his disgust for Trump clear in protest songs and open letters. In 2020, Young sued Trump for his use of the song, and that suit was settled out of court. Now, Young is suing Trump again, claiming that Trump has violated the settlement by continuing to use the song.As Rolling Stone reports, lawyers for Neil Young have filed a $10 million copyright infringement lawsuit against Donald Trump's political action committee Trump 47 Committee Inc. in Virginia, where the PAC is based. The lawsuit doesn't personally name Trump himself as a defendant. In their five-page filing, Young's lawyers write that the song "is the opposite of everything that Donald J. Trump stands for" and that Trump was "personally aware that a license would be required" for the song's usage. Young's lawyers claim taht Trump entered to "Rockin' In The Free World" at a midterm rally in Youngstown, Ohio Oct. 12.
