Swaroop launched the programme and participated in the drive. She also released Namma Udupi Swatcha Udupi logo and said every citizen should try to keep the beautiful beaches clean and safe. She said efforts and activities for environmental protection should become part of daily routine.Cleanliness and safety of the beach were of utmost importance to take the glory of Malpe beach, which was recognised nationally and internationally, to greater heights. Since tourists were visiting the beach in large numbers, everyone should give top priority to the cleanliness of beaches and take the initiative to protect aquatic life.Regretting that the environment was being destroyed due to the indiscriminate use and unscientific disposal of material such as plastic, Ms. Swaroopa asked the public visiting the beach to maintain cleanliness and cooperate in creating a clean, safe, and beautiful environment for the next generation.The drive was carried out for 2 km on the left and right sides of the Gandhi Circle in Malpe.
