Moment thug is caught on doorbell camera threatening elderly woman with knife after she filmed him fly-tipping

Jamie Allen, 29, was caught on doorbell footage pulling a knife on the couple after they had challenged him as they watched him dump the contents of a wheelbarrow near their home. A few days later, Allen was heading to his ex-partner's house in Duston, Northamptonshire, on June 11 when he walked past the pensioners' house and spotted the doorbell camera. He marched up to their front door and ripped off the doorbell cover before pouring a can of alcohol over it.When the elderly couple confronted him, Allen launched a torrent of abuse before pulling a knife from his waistband.In the footage, Allen is heard telling the couple repeatedly, 'film me now, film me now' before they ask him to leave for being drunk and 'silly'.He then swears at them before telling them: 'You laugh and all that, so I'll put this in your front. Don't try that on me again. I'll put this straight in your front.'The brave woman told Allen she was not 'stooping' to his level and ordered him to leave their property. You're threatening me with a knife.'Allen then warns the woman he'll 'put this straight in your knee'.The couple bravely stand their ground as Allen makes more threats against the woman before he spits in her face and storms off.Allen launched his attack while he was wanted by Northamptonshire Police for controlling and coercive behaviour against his ex-partner.He was charged with two counts of threats to kill, assault by beating, possession of a knife blade in a public place, criminal damage to property and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.Allen, of Duston, admitted five of the six charges while one count of making threats to kill was ordered to remain on file.He was jailed for three-and-a-half years at Northampton Crown Court on September 4 and was also handed two restraining orders, including an indefinite order protecting the elderly couple and a five-year order protecting his ex-partner.The orders ban him from contacting any of the three victims directly or indirectly.Detective Constable Rachael McDaid said: 'Jamie Allen's behaviour towards both the elderly couple and his ex-partner was completely unacceptable.'He used threats, intimidation, and violence to control and frighten those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the people he targeted, and I would like to thank them all for their support throughout this investigation.'I would also like to commend the courage shown by Allen's ex-partner who reported his controlling and coercive behaviour, as well as the bravery of the elderly couple who stood up to him despite being subjected to his threatening and aggressive behaviour.'
