Marvel Super Heroes Secret Lair MTG Cards And Release Date

Published Aug 6, 2026, 5:44 PM EDT Niall (pronounced Ny-ul) is a UK-based writer who has been writing about Magic: The Gathering throughout his entire career, with everything from new set breakdowns and individual deck guides to offering his opinions on the state of formats and the general direction of the iconic TCG. Niall also has a rich history covering triple-A releases, sports games, and PC hardware. It's not unusual for Magic: The Gathering sets to be followed by a substantial Secret Lair drop. So far, this is exclusively a Universes Beyond trait, as cards that couldn't quite make the cut in the main set or had designs seen as better suited to Secret Lair are released shortly after the Standard set launches. This time around, there are four new Marvel Secret Lair drops coming as part of a wider superdrop that was revealed during the Secret Lair panel at MagicCon Amsterdam. Marvel: A Perfectly Normal Superdrop Release Date All cards from the A Perfectly Normal Superdrop go on sale via the Secret Lair website on September 1, 2026. Secret Lair drops typically take place on Mondays, but this one has been moved to Tuesday for unknown reasons. The drop time is still 9 am PT, with the waiting room open from 8 am PT so you can choose which products you want in your basket when you get to the front of the queue. You'll also find the Lofi Girl, Robin Eisenber, Ian Miller, and Gene Luen Yang drops in this Superdrop. Earth's Mightiest Pets The first of the Marvel Secret Lair drops is called Earth's Mightiest Pets, and as you might expect given the name, it focuses on our favorite furry friends from the Marvel universe. Ephemerate Shark Typhoon Lightning Bolt Searing Blaze Commune with Dinosaurs Titanic Ultimatum Characters like Jeff the Land Shark, Lockjaw, Kitty Pride, Lockheed, Throg, and Crystal all feature on these cards, and the artwork is all fairly straight comic-style, but Shark Typhoon has a distinctly cutesy feel to it compared to the others. I expect this drop to cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. Hulk The Incredible Hulk is getting his very own bundle within this superdrop, which includes five new cards with Hulk-themed artwork. Anger Gratuitous Violence Joe Fixit's Expertise [Rishkar's Expertise] Search for Tomorrow Unnatural Growth There's a renamed card in this set, but the rest are typical reprints with only the artwork changed. Each of the cards pulls from a different era of Hulk design, making this the ideal Secret Lair bundle for a huge fan of the big angry boy. I expect this drop to cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. True Believers In Love This is my favorite of the new Marvel bundles for two reasons. Firstly, it's a hugely topical theme for the set, with each card featuring a famous Marvel couple embracing in the style of cheesy romance novels, perfect for those among us on BookTok right now. Secondly, it's got the only appearance of Gambit and Rogue in the Marvel Super Heroes set (although they also feature on another superdrop card I'll come to shortly). Happily Ever After True Love's Kiss Run Away Together Savor the Moment Grave Pact Thrill of Possibility The superhero couples that appear on these cards (in the order as above) are Luke Cage & Jessica Jones, The Thing & Alicia Masters, Wiccan & Hulkling, Captain America & Peggy Carter, Thanos & Lady Death, and Gambit & Rogue. Not a single one of these cards is a miss on the artwork, and I can see this being the most popular of the bundles from this superdrop. I expect this drop to cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant. Dan Hipp The final Marvel bundle from this superdrop includes five cards with art by Dan Hipp. Mystical Dispute An Offer You Can't Refuse Training Grounds Man-Thing, Marsh Protector [Bristly Bill, Spine Sower] Mister Sinister, Hubris Unbound [Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder] We have two renamed cards in this drop, including the Man-Thing reprint of the very valuable Bristly Bill, which, at its cheapest, is a near-$40 card, making this drop entirely worth the cost alone. Training Grounds is also set to be a popular card for its awesome art featuring the X-Men taking on a giant Magneto in the Danger Room. Heroes that appear on this card include Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Beast, Cyclops, Jean-Grey, Wolverine, Storm, and Colossus. I expect this drop to cost $29.99 for the nonfoil version and $39.99 for the foil variant, although the valuable reprints could see this just up by $10 for each version.
