Man’s body pulled from water just days after paddleboarder died in same lake as family pay heartbreaking tribute

A MAN’s body has been pulled from a lake following a three day rescue operation at the beauty hot spot. Emergency services recovered the body from the Eryri lake after they were first alerted to the missing person at around 7.10pm on Sunday. North Wales Police confirmed on Wednesday that it had pulled a body from the lake, with formal identification yet to take place. It added that the family of the missing man had been informed about the body. It is not the first time this month emergency services have been called to the lake. Officers rushed to the body of water in the National Park at around 9.17pm on July 7 following reports of an incident. Members of the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the National Police Air Service, Mountain Rescue Team and the Underwater Search Team were deployed to the scene. Despite the huge rescue operation at the 45-acre lake, the property maintenance worker could not be saved. In a heartbreaking tribute, his sister Madeline said: “If you knew him, you’ll know he was the kind of person who would do absolutely anything for anyone. “No matter what he had going on himself, if someone needed help, he was there. “He had the biggest heart, and he touched so many lives without ever asking for anything in return.” A fundraising page in Rowan’s memory raised more than £2,900 less than 24 hours after being launched. “Thank you so much for all the love and support we’ve received since losing my little brother. “Any donation, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated,” Madeline added. “But just as importantly, I’d love for you to share your favourite memory of him in the comments. “Whether it’s a funny story, a photo, a video, or a small moment that made you smile, I’d love to see the joy he brought to so many people’s lives. Thank you for helping us keep his memory alive.” Shay Green, who set up the page, described Rowan as “crazy lad that would happily do anything for anyone for nothing, without hesitation”. “You were clearly too good for this world and will be dearly missed.
