Man pulled off St Vincent flight after guns, drugs find

Police removed a Christ Church man from a St Vincent-bound flight almost a month after finding a shotgun, ammunition and more than half a million dollars’ worth of drugs at his home, the No. 2 Supreme Court heard. Randolph Jason Victor, of Lowlands, Christ Church, reappeared before Justice Douglas Frederick after previously admitting to illegally possessing a 12-gauge shotgun and nine rounds of ammunition. He also pleaded guilty to possessing 146.5 kilogrammes of cannabis, having a traffickable quantity of the drug and possessing 1.04 kilogrammes of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) tablets, also known as Ecstasy or Molly. Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett said police executed a warrant to search for controlled drugs at Victor’s home on December 19, 2024. The landlord, who was shown the warrant, gave police permission to force entry after no one responded from inside the apartment. A search of the bedroom uncovered 40 taped packages and a transparent plastic bag containing a quantity of orange tablets. A search of the bed revealed a black firearm, two rounds of ammunition, a ski mask, a passport-sized photograph of Victor and white paper wrapped in transparent plastic. The white paper contained six rounds of ammunition. When the firearm was examined, another round was found in the chamber. On January 17, 2025, acting on information received, police went to Grantley Adams International Airport and removed the convicted man from a flight bound for St Vincent. Police arrested him on suspicion of committing the offences and took him to Oistins Police Station. A few days later, he took police to an area in Kendall Hill, Christ Church, where he said he had found the firearm, and to an area at Brownes Beach, where he said he had received the drugs.
