A man (30s) has died in Dublin’s Wheatfield Prison following a serious assault.An investigation is under way into the man’s death shortly before midnight on Thursday, after he was assaulted in his cell that night.The man, believed to be from Dublin, was sharing his cell with another inmate.The cause of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office. Next of kin have been informed.”
