Mahindra BE 6 to get new Sporteq variant: Know what's changed and launch dat

Mahindra has teased the BE 6 Sporteq ahead of its August 15 debut, revealing a triple-screen dashboard and sportier styling as key highlights of the updated electric SUV.Mahindra will launch the BE 6 Sporteq on August 15Mahindra has confirmed that the BE 6 will receive a new tech-focused variant called the BE 6 Sporteq, with its full reveal scheduled for August 15. The first teaser released by the company gives a clear look at the biggest change: a new triple-screen dashboard.The updated cabin adds a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger, joining the existing 12.3-inch driver’s display and central infotainment screen. This creates a continuous, three-screen layout across the dashboard, similar to the setup seen in Mahindra’s larger electric SUVs.The teaser also reveals some of the Sporteq's styling changes. The SUV is finished in a matte black exterior shade, while the cabin features brown upholstery and red ambient lighting elements, giving it a sportier appearance. The dashboard itself also appears to have been redesigned around the new screen arrangement.Mahindra is yet to reveal the complete equipment list for the BE 6 Sporteq. However, the SUV is expected to retain the existing electric powertrain options. The BE 6 is currently offered with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs. The smaller battery produces 231bhp and 380Nm, while the larger unit develops 285bhp and 380Nm. The 59kWh version has a claimed MIDC range of 548km, while the 79kWh variants offer up to 683km. Existing features such as multiple drive modes, regenerative braking levels and single-pedal driving are also expected to continue.The BE 6 Sporteq will be unveiled on August 15, when Mahindra is expected to disclose its full specifications, features and pricing.
