Peggy outlined how she had been suffering with “really bad abdominal and pelvic pain and feeling really unwell”. The MAFS star told fans she had been “diagnosed with appendicitis” and had been “transferred to another hospital”. She added: “So far all I know is that my appendix RUPTURED between my CT scan on Monday and surgery yesterday. “They left me waiting for surgery all day Tuesday nil by mouth. Now my recovery has gone from one to two weeks to six to eight. “And I have excruciating gas pain, zero sleep and a fat elbow.” Peggy said in another update that the surgery went well, but it went from “non-complicated” to “complicated” as her appendix perforated.
