A MAJOR motorway has been closed in both directions as an air ambulance lands on the road following a serious crash. The M25 in Leatherhead, Surrey has shut between J9 and J10. The carriageway has been temporarily closed on both sides of J9 and the slip road to allow the air ambulance to land. National Highways has reported delays of nearly 80 minutes following the incident. Traffic cameras are showing lengthy queues and stationary motorists on the M25 clockwise near Leatherhead. Surrey Police have told drivers to use alternative routes for the time being or factor in this potential delay into your journey. The force said: “There are road closures in place on the M25 following a collision on the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 just past J9. “The carriageway was temporarily closed on both sides on the junction and slip road to allow the air ambulance to land.
