LT Josh Simmons out, CB Mansoor Delane set to play for Chiefs-Dolphins

Published September 25, 2026 04:52 PM The Chiefs are once again set to start undrafted rookie Kahlil Benson at left tackle.Kansas City officially ruled out Josh Simmons on Friday with his back injury.Simmons did not practice all week as he continues to recover.While head coach Andy Reid said in his Friday press conference that defensive back Chamarri Conner won’t play, he is officially doubtful for the contest after he was a limited participant in Friday’s practice.But cornerback Mansoor Delane (shoulder) is off the injury report and set to play. He was a full participant in practice all week. Delane was available on an emergency basis for last week’s game against the Colts after aggravating his shoulder during the Week 1 win over the Broncos.Defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah (quad), linebacker Jeff Bassa (shoulder), defensive back Jadon Canady (knee), linebacker Jack Cochrane (calf), defensive back Jaden Hicks (biceps), defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf), receiver Rashee Rice (knee), cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee), and quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) are all officially off the injury report and set to play.
