Kate Cassidy Shares She Was Dumped After She "F--ked Up" and Compared New Boyfriend to Liam PayneKate Cassidy is still holding onto her midnight memories. Nearly two years after the death of her boyfriend Liam Payne, the influencer clarified the reason she is removing a collection of tattoos from her hand, some of which were tributes to the late One Direction member. “The only reason that I am lasering off these tattoos is literally just because they are too thick for my liking,” Cassidy said in a July 29 TikTok. “These are the very first tattoos I ever received—I've already talked about this before—and I went somewhere really random and I asked for a fine line tattoo.” However, despite her expectation of getting “very faint” and “very fine” markings, the 27-year-old added, “I ended up getting this thick, bulky, whatever.” So, Cassidy underwent laser removal to take off a pair of angel wings, a star and the number four—her and Payne’s angel number—that she had on her fingers. Despite removing the tributes, Cassidy—who is planning to get the tattoos redone on a different part of her hand—shut down speculation that she is moving on from her love for Payne. “The meaning behind all of my tattoos are so so special to me,” she continued. “So, I am not lasering them off for any other means other than the fact that I'm gonna get them redone somewhere else that has experience in fine line tattoos and just get them moved down. So, bye.” Cassidy and Payne—who began dating in 2022—had been vacationing together in Argentina before the musician fell to his death at the hotel. Since then, the TikToker has been candid about her grief and how Payne’s loss has impacted her, including in her romantic life. “Dating after losing somebody that you genuinely thought you were gonna spend the rest of your life with is really tough,” she said in a June 22 TikTok, “because I physically look for Liam in every single guy that I meet.” In fact, she added, “If they don't hit all the check marks, I tend to either back away or almost resent this person. And it's so crazy.” Still, Cassidy is trying to cope with her new life without Payne in it. “You don’t move on from grief,” she wrote on TikTok in February. “You move forward with it, carrying love in a different form. Keep living. Keep going. Live your life as fully as you possibly can.” For a look back at Cassidy and Payne’s romance, keep reading.
