Lego Leak Reveals PS1 Set Astro Bot GWP Details, Releasing October 1

Now those same leakers have also revealed that the still-unrevealed set will come with an Astro Bot gift with purchase. Lego's Rumored PS1 Set Will Likely Come With An Astro Bot Sidekick The additional information about PlayStation’s next foray into Lego comes from Brick Tap on Instagram. Not only is that the same account which shared insider details about the Lego PS1, but it reveals leaked details about lots of sets and seemingly has an almost flawless track record. The set will mark the first time Astro Bot has ever been turned into Lego, but aside from it being a gift with purchase, which means it will come free with the Lego PS1 for a limited time, not much about the Bot has been revealed. We do know that it will be released on October 1, 2026, as that’s the same day that the PS1 set is expected to release. You’ll also have to be among the first to buy the PS1 set if you want it to come with an Astro Bot companion. While a free, smaller set with your Lego is always welcome, there are caveats attached to GWPs that make them frustrating for those who don’t plan on buying their corresponding sets right away. They’re only available for a limited time, and then after that, they’re gone forever. I’d guess that the Astro Bot set will be a GWP with the Lego PS1 for two weeks, giving you until mid-October to pick up the unrevealed set if you want Astro to come with it. There’s no guarantee of that, though. Sometimes GWPs only stick around for a week. They are then not available to buy separately after that. The Only Other PlayStation Game To Get Its Own Lego Is Horizon Although PlayStation has a decent relationship with Lego, the console creator is yet to dive into the toy brick pool in the same way that Nintendo has. This is the first time Lego will turn one of PlayStation’s consoles into Lego, and the only PlayStation-published series to get its own Lego sets is Horizon, and most of those stemmed from the creation of Lego Horizon Adventures. Aside from the Lego Tallneck, which remains one of the brand’s best video game sets to date. Perhaps this is a precursor to more PlayStation partnerships for Lego, and maybe even the two companies testing the waters for a bigger Lego x Astro Bot crossover. It would be a shame if the only time Astro Bot ever steps foot in Lego’s world is via a free gift that will only be available for a limited time.
