A 50 per cent off sale has been launched ahead of the new school year with shoppers having only days left to nab the discounts. The branch has launched a closing-down sale ahead of its final day of trading next week, meaning customers can pick-up discounted footwear while the store remains open. Inside the branch, signs thanking customers for their support have been displayed, while another notice confirms the upcoming closure, according to Bucks Free Press. Clarks had been operating inside the Eden Shopping Centre for several years before the closure was announced. Residents have expressed their frustration for the closure online, with many sad to see another big-name brand disappear from their high street. “Another shop gone, they have been going for years,” wrote one user. “That’s what online shopping does, kills the shops in town,” said another. Shoppers’ nearest store will now be the Clarks branch located on The Highway in Beaconsfield. The well-known shoe retailer began operating in 1825 in Somerset and currently has a portfolio of 329 UK stores.
