Kayce Dutton Is Back in the Marshals Season 2 Trailer

2 min readFolks, “Kayce Dutton Is Back.” So declares the latest trailer for Marshals season 2, which stars Luke Grimes as the youngest Dutton sibling from Yellowstone. The former rancher now provides his assistance to Montana’s U.S. Marshal service when he isn’t rearing horses and taking care of his son, Tate (Brecken Merrill). But just because he’s sold the Yellowstone Ranch doesn’t mean there isn’t trouble at home.When season 1 ended, rival rancher Tom Weaver (Chris Mulkley) offered to buy the last remaining holdout from his family’s estate. Kayce turned him down, and now Weaver is out to remove Kayce from the property by any means necessary. As Kayce’s buddy Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) reminds Yellowstone fans in the new trailer for season 2, “Land is plenty motive for murder.”The season 1 finale left just about every character on the series for dead, but it seems from the trailer that everyone is back for season 2. That also includes Deputy U.S. Marshal Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos), who said that she was leaving Montana for a position in Washington, D.C. last season. She returns alongside Belle (Arielle Kebbel) and Miles (Tatanka Means), as well as former Yellowstone characters Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Mo (Mo Brings Plenty). You can watch the trailer below.For now, the season 2 trailer picks up right after the events of the finale, when Weaver took Tate prisoner through the guise of a fishing trip. Kayce has yet to learn officially that Weaver is set to become a vicious enemy in season 2, with the allegiances of Weaver’s daughter Dolly (Ellyn Jameson) up for contention as well. And do I spot a spark between Kayce and Cruz brewing up again?We’ll find out for certain when Marshals rides into town for season 2 on Sunday, October 4. From the looks of a scene in the trailer with Kayce on top of a moving train, we may even see some of Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness budget make its way over to Montana for the second season of Marshals action.
