Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.HBO Max has just ordered a new 15-episode family drama that will star Kaley Cuoco. Best known for playing Penny on The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco has gone on to star in shows like The Flight Attendant and Based on a True Story. Her most recent show was a mystery thriller miniseries called Vanished that aired earlier this year and centers on a woman dealing with the aftermath of her boyfriend going missing while on vacation. With Vanished now over, Cuoco has lined up a new project that brings her back to Warner Bros. Television, the same studio that produced The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant. HBO Max announced it is ordering 15 episodes of Greg Berlanti's How to Survive Without Me, with Cuoco in one of the leading roles. The story centers on the De Angelis family in the wake of matriarch Beverly's death. As the family begins to grow apart, their mother introduces a new wrinkle to keep everyone together as a collective unit, even after her passing. Her co-stars are Ray Romano (playing the family patriarch), Joshua Jackson, Julia Schlaepfer, Jack Ball, Kylar Miranda, Julian Grey, Scarlett Abinante, Tommy Dewey, Matthew Kellison, Colette Porch, Ella Rubin and Rita Wilson (as Beverly). Dar Zuzovsky, Genevieve Angelson, Joe Romano, Katie Aselton, Katie Monds, Kevin Changaris, Pressley Hosbach, Richard Blackmon, Sofía Rodríguez-Toymil and Will Yun Lee will appear in guest-starring roles. This news comes after HBO Max ordered a pilot late last year that Berlanti and Bash Doran wrote together. How to Survive Without Me will use a similar production model to The Pitt with a limited budget and a new season being released every year, assuming viewership is high enough to warrant a renewal.
