Artist: Jorsshh Country: Mexico Why They Should Be on Your Radar: Culiacán, Sinaloa-born Jorsshh is finally stepping from behind some of the biggest songs in música mexicana and into his own spotlight. Long respected as one of the genre’s rising songwriting forces, he’s helped shape hits like Fuerza Regida’s “Tu Sancho,” Tito Double P and Peso Pluma’s “Dos Días” and Tito’s “Nadie,” while also contributing to major projects by Luis R. Conriquez and others. Now, with his debut album Ay Weyy, released last week, the Street Mob Records artist turns that pen inward, delivering 18 tracks that channel the emotional swings of youth with the hard-hitting edge, melodic ache and streetwise honesty that define corridos tumbados at their most resonant. Collaborations with Fuerza Regida, Tito Double P, Gabito Ballesteros, Netón Vega, Chuyin, Calle 24, and Luis R. Conriquez only reinforce the scale of his arrival, but Ay Weyy works because Jorsshh never sounds like he’s chasing a moment — he sounds like someone enriching the movement from within. “My hope is that when people listen to this album, they see themselves in these songs,” he told Billboard. “I want anyone who’s dealing with emotional highs and lows to know they’re not alone.” —ISABELA RAYGOZA Song for Your Playlist: “Californication” (feat. A classically trained vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and actress, she has released dozens of songs on Spotify and YouTube, garnering millions of streams. With profound lyrics exploring love, heartbreak, friendship and self-discovery — and a voice that is sweet yet powerful and confident — she released the album ¿Qué Tú Te Crees? in 2024, featuring the hit single “No Quiero Amarte.” And her talent and appeal have not gone unnoticed by the industry; in April 2026, she signed with Sony Music Latin, whose president, Alex Gallardo remarked that “her ability to connect through her lyrics at such a young age is truly impressive.” – SIGAL RATNER-ARIAS Song for Your Playlist: “Hola ¿Alo?” Artist: Miranda León Country: Mexico Why She Should Be on Your Radar: At 19 years old, Miranda is turning heads with her musical fusions, blending pop and urbano styles like hip-hop and trap with regional Mexican influences. The Culiacán-born singer has seen her numbers rise significantly, landing on charts across platforms. Her song “66 AM,” released just a couple of months ago, went viral and built even more anticipation for her follow-up single, “La Misión,” which has further reinforced her strong reception with listeners and her clear upward momentum within new music. León’s versatility comes through not only in her performances, but also in her lyrics, where vulnerability mixes with strength and attitude — qualities that set her apart and have helped her reach 3.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. — TERE AGUILERA Song for Your Playlist: “La Misión” (with Jimmy Guzmán) Artist: El Shadow Country: Cuba Why They Should be on Your Radar: Hailing from Camagüey, El Shadow (real name: Raudel Gómez Hernández) is making strong waves in the Cuban music scene with his dulcet, velvety vocals and his Afrobeats fusion—in a time where the rhythmic reparto music is having its international spotlight. After he began releasing his music in 2022 (firstly singing reparto music), El Shadow found his sound and identity rooted in the Caribbean and chill island soundscape. Now, with his refreshing proposal à la Beéle and Kapo — and making use of the limited resources he has on the island—El Shadow is carving his own path in the industry that ultimately led him to Nicky Jam for a major collaboration called “La Foto,” set to be released on Aug. 12. In the meantime, he’s building a promising catalog that includes such highlights as “Más Linda Eres Tú” with El Chulo and “Guaya” with Harryson. — JESSICA ROIZ Song for Your Playlist: “Nada Raro” (with July Roby) Artist: Lauta Country: Argentina Why They Should Be on Your Radar: My first encounter with Lauta was thanks to Spotify suggesting his song “Puñaladas” alongside Amigos de Artistas and producer Tote. Just days later, I found myself hooked on the remix featuring Maluma, Manuel Turiz, and Reik. Scrolling through his social media, it becomes clear that Lauta’s music is more than just catchy cumbia rhythms; it is a celebration of Argentine culture, the joy of sharing mate, and the simple pleasure of enjoying good music with friends. Lauta has a knack for painting the beauty of women in his lyrics, crafting the image of the “dream girl” in songs like “You Are Hermosa” featuring Matias Valdez, “Arriba Morocha,” and “Más Linda Que Ayer,” among others. His use of Argentine slang and accent, woven together with a fusion of cumbia, pop and reggaetón, creates tracks that radiate summer energy, carried by the playful rhythms of güiro, ukulele, and accordion. — INGRID FAJARDO Song for Your Playlist: “Puñaladas” (with Amigo de Artistas) Artist: Lo Delceggio Country: ArgentinaWhy They Should Be on Your Radar: Lo Delceggio is a 20-year-old artist bringing a nostalgic twist to Argentina’s new wave of urban music. Born in Buenos Aires and now based in Miami, the singer-songwriter draws on influences from Trap music artists from his native country — such as Trueno and Duki — while blending them with 2010s EDM, house, R&B, and Latin pop. Adopting the moniker “Fast Life Boy” and with songs like “Tu Pasatiempo” and “Por Qué,” the stories and oftentimes, the emotionally candid lyricism in his music are shaped by his personal experiences when migrating from South America to the United States as a teenager. While his music career has been developing in the past few years, Lo has slowly crafted an artistic identity that he is gearing up to introduce to an even wider audience, with his first international Fast Life Tour kicking off in Argentina this August. — CATA BALZANO Song for Your Playlist: “Supraa” (feat. Markán) Artist: S.3.R Country: United States Why They Should Be on Your Radar: There’s something alluringly unhinged about the world S.3.R (pronounced Ser) is building. The solo project of Colombian artist Camilo Medina — best known as the frontman of Chicago indie outfit Divino Niño — trades psych-pop haze for a more chaotic, club-wired sensibility, where heartbreak, lust and late-night delirium blur together over glitchy Latin textures. Now based in New York, Medina has been steadily introducing that vision through a string of singles ahead of his upcoming album Amor, due next month, leaning into a DIY aesthetic that feels raw and emotionally frayed in the best way. His latest track, “Ti,” released July 15, is a particularly strong entry point: an intimate dance song built on longing, desire and obsession, where guaracha and Latin club rhythms collide with diaristic songwriting about seeing someone everywhere. Earlier singles like “Abismo del Horror” and “Triste Enloquesido Intensamente” further show how S.3.R is carving out a lane that feels vulnerable and defiantly irreverent all at once. — I.R. Song for Your Playlist: “Ti” Artist: Drea Tomé Country: United States Why They Should Be on Your Radar: Drea Tomé has spent years behind the scenes building an impressive résumé in music, ranging from co-writing the lead single (“Cuando Hay Amor”) on Gloria Estefan’s 2021 Grammy-winning album BRAZIL305 to participating in She Is The Music songwriting camps. Now Drea is ready to step fully into the spotlight with her debut album, Soundtrack to My Twenties, a coming-of-age musical project that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. Through emotionally rich indie-pop sounds, guided by her angelic vocals and intimate lyricism, Drea welcomes listeners into a deeply personal journey with songs like “To Miss the Start” and “Cold Feet.” The eight-track project overcomes the uncertainty, heartbreak and experiences that accompany early adulthood and the meaning of being 20-something. —C.B. Song for Your Playlist: “To Miss the Start” Artist: Claudia Zuazo Country: Spain Why They Should Be on Your Radar: I discovered Claudia Zuazo by pure chance one night while driving with Apple Music on shuffle, and she popped up after a string of English-language songs. The track was “Casiopea,” and its warm sound and her ethereal voice immediately grabbed my attention. I wanted to know — and hear — more. Born in Alicante, Zuazo started out in 2018 as the keyboardist for the alt-rock band Niña Polaca before launching her solo career. On May 20, following a series of singles, she independently released her debut album, De Mí. Distributed by Altafonte, the seven-track set includes — in addition to “Casiopea” — songs such as “La línea,” “Ahora Que Estás,” and the title track (a collaboration with Anouck The Band) – all with an immersive, organic sound of alternative pop and soft rock.– S.R.A. Song for Your Playlist: Artist: Riamonae Country: United States Why They Should be on Your Radar: At first glance, Riamonae is a force to be reckoned with: a singer who can dance and has ethereal stage presence. But once you dive deep into her catalog, which traces back to 2021 on Spotify, you’ll discover that this Miami-based, neo-soul artist has what it really takes to become the next female powerhouse (think Jessie Reyez, Amy Winehouse, Mon Laferte). A semi-finalist at the 2026 La Voz Guacalito singing competition — where I had the pleasure of helping to unearth her raw talent as one of the judges — Riamonae embraces her Puerto Rican and Cuban roots in her music, as heard in songs such as “Mi Tumbao,” featuring renowned guitarist Homero Gallardo. — J.R.
