Created by Brad Ingelsby, the hit HBO crime drama premiered last year, following Mark Ruffalo's FBI agent Tom Brandis as he attempts to catch the man responsible for a series of violent robberies. After viewership success and rave Task reviews, season 2 was confirmed to be in the works, with the season revealed to be crossing over with Ingelsby's other popular series, Mare of Easttown. Per Deadline, Task season 2 will feature the return of Martha Plimpton as Kathleen McGinty and Silvia Dionicio as Emily Brandis. The former, who is expected to play a larger role this season, serves as the FBI Supervisory Senior Resident in Charge. Dionicio's character, on the other hand, is Tom's adopted teenage daughter.
