ITV star slams ‘toxic’ husband who called her family ‘scum’ and denied her knee surgery as she files for divorce

AN ITV star has slammed her husband as ‘toxic’, claiming he called her family ‘scum’ and threatened to leave her if she underwent knee surgery. Alysia Vasey, known as The Yorkshire Forager, who appears regularly on James Martin‘s Saturday Kitchen, announced earlier this month that she was heading for divorce after only getting wed last year. Since then, she has claimed that her partner – who is not publicly named – ‘racked up bills’ on her credit card and had her ‘trapped’. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! And in a new video, Alysia says it didn’t stop there. She has now claimed that her other half denied her knee surgery that she needed, and was offensive about her family. Taking to Instagram, Alysia told the camera: “Lets just say there’s a couple of things that you can’t come back from. “Getting married, and being told – and you all know I’ve got dodgy knees, I’ve had dodgy knees for ages – that if you had a knee operation and it didn’t work, they didn’t want to be with you anymore. “Because they’re not going to be looking after a disabled person and the house wasn’t suitable for that sort of person.” She went on to claim that her husband had called her family “Polish scum” after learning that her grandfather had fought in the second World War.
