Between The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Tom Holland and Zendaya have been busy. These two have attended dozens of premieres and press events over the past few weeks, and now it’s time for a well-deserved break. Meaning, it’s going to be a minute until we get Spider-Man 5. But will Tom Holland be reprising the role?Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked by Variety if there are plans for Tom Holland to come back, and explained, “There are always plans. But right now, he’s going to rest after that global tour. He and Zendaya are going to take a good and restful victory lap, which they very much deserve.”Clearly Marvel places an enormous amount of value in Tom and wants to keep working with him. Feige said, “People can write about changing tastes, but as characters that grow and evolve through the decades, there are none better than the Marvel characters—and none better than Peter Parker. When you find an actor like Tom Holland to bring that character to life, it is the magic formula.”Add Cosmopolitan as a preferred source in your Google search results.Use your Google account to add this to your settings. As for what Tom’s said about reprising the role, he told The Hollywood Reporter that he’ll play Spider-Man “for as long as they’ll have me.”Buuuuuut then he told Happy Sad Confused, “There’s a whole plan that we have been working on...since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s laid out. It’s gonna change, for sure, but I have a really clear vision [of] the passing on of the baton, and I think it's really exciting. I know I get really excited when we have these meetings and chat about it. But that is the thing that I want to do most in this character, for sure.”I’d genuinely be happy to see Tom play Spider-Man forever, but I guess the baton has to get passed at some point (hopefully not too soon).
