Police also seized a Mercedes allegedly used in the drug trafficking operation.Indore,Nov 8, 2026 02:05 ISTA man was arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Indore for allegedly possessing and trafficking cocaine using luxury cars, with police recovering more than 2 grams of the contraband and seizing a Mercedes-Benz allegedly used in the operation.The accused, identified as Kalp Kakariya, was arrested by the Juni Indore police near Dhobi Ghat after he was found sitting in a red Mercedes car under suspicious circumstances. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of more than 2 grams of cocaine, following which the car was also seized.Police have registered a case against Kakariya under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and launched an investigation into the alleged drug trafficking network.During preliminary questioning, Kakariya reportedly told police that he came into contact with a person at a friend's birthday party. This acquaintance allegedly led to his association with a drug network through which cocaine was being supplied. Police are now questioning the accused to trace the source of the cocaine, establish the supply chain and identify others involved in the racket.Officials said the names emerging during interrogation are being verified. Further action against those linked to the network will be taken based on the evidence gathered during the investigation. - Ends
