‘Incredibly kind’ mum found dead in caravan is pictured as family pay tribute – after man, 72, arrested over ‘murder’

A “KIND” mum who was found dead in a caravan has been pictured, as her family pay tribute after a 72-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Police were called to a holiday park in Sywell, Northamptonshire, in the early hours of Monday morning. They tragically found Sue Lumsden dead in a caravan and launched a murder probe into the tragedy. A man, 72, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death. Sue’s heartbroken family have since paid tribute, describing her as “caring and incredibly kind.” The family continued: “Mum was a beautiful person inside and out — fun, bubbly, caring and incredibly kind. “She loved to laugh and had a special way of making those around her smile. Her warmth and loving nature touched so many lives. “We have chosen this photo because it captures her happy spirit and the person she truly was — full of love, laughter and life. “Above all, she was a wonderful Mum and a much-loved Nanny Sue, Sister, Auntie and friend. “She was deeply cherished by her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Most read in The Sun “Her kindness, laughter and loving nature will always be remembered. “Mum will be missed more than words can say, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared and the memories we made together will remain in our hearts forever. “She was truly special and will always be loved.” On Monday Northamptonshire Police said the 72-year-old man remained in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Ryan Catling said at the time: “This is an extremely tragic incident in which a woman has sadly lost her life, and our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones at what will be an incredibly difficult and distressing time. “Specialist officers are supporting her next of kin, and we ask that their privacy is respected while they come to terms with this terrible loss. “Our investigation is moving at pace, and we are committed to securing all available evidence and doing everything we can to get justice. “There will be an increased police presence in the area while our enquiries continue, and even though we have made an arrest, I would encourage anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation to contact us.”
