Huawei's new smartwatch has a real blood pressure cuff built into the band

The Huawei Watch D3 is its newest health smartwatch, the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro are the latest lifestyle models, and the GT 7 and GT 7 Pro are its full sports watches with all the fitness features you want. Here’s what we know about them all. Huawei Watch D3 Huawei Watch D3 Google, Apple, Whoop, and Oura have all added blood pressure monitoring features recently, but most are wellness-based and provide insights rather than hard data. The Watch D3 goes a step further, bridging the gap between a smartwatch and a blood pressure cuff. The Watch D3 is a health smartwatch with a true blood pressure monitoring system. Instead of an AI-based ‘insights’ system like the Pixel Watch 5, the D3 has an inflatable cuff in the band. Along with the sensor and Huawei’s algorithms, it tracks blood pressure trends 24-hours a day, giving accurate readings and a comprehensive picture of your blood pressure. It’s powered by Huawei’s third-generation mini pump and the band is now thinner and lighter than before. The smartwatch is also only 11.3mm thick, down from 13.3mm on the last model, and a healthy eight grams lighter too. These changes will make the Watch D3 more comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Other features include a 1.92-inch screen with 3,000 nits peak brightness, and all the expected fitness and sleep tracking. It’s the most interesting smartwatch in Huawei’s latest lineup. The Huawei Watch D3 costs £400, or about $540, and will be available from September 23 in the UK. Huawei Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro Huawei Watch 6 After the innovative Watch D3, we get into Huawei's more traditional sports-based smartwatches, with the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro blending fitness tracking with a lifestyle design. The Watch 6 is available in two case sizes, 42mm and 46mm, along with a variety of finishes and straps. You get 100 workout modes, a new wrist-rotation gesture control, and an upgraded version of Huawei’s X-Tap which returns data on 11 different health metrics after a single health assessment. The Watch 6 Pro comes in either 43mm or 46mm case sizes and a range of materials including ceramic. The Huawei Watch 6 starts at £400 and the Watch 6 Pro starts at £600, or about $810, and both will be available from September 23. Huawei Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro Huawei Watch GT 7 The GT 7 series are designed for everyday wear, with a sporting edge and long battery life. There are two case sizes, 41mm and 46mm, and eight different color options, plus three more for the Pro model. The Pro has a titanium frame and ceramic bezel, both have sapphire crystal over the screens, and both 46mm models should return up to 21 days use on a single charge, depending on use. Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro For the GT 7 series, Huawei has enhanced ski tracking using its updated AI-enhanced XDR GPS mode, which recognizes tunnels or indoor skiing, plus smart route navigation for mountains, and maps for more than 3,000 ski resorts. This joins 100 different workout modes, new mini workout plans, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and for the Pro model, five new golfing features, including shot distance and a full scorecard. The Huawei Watch GT 7 starts at £280/$377 and the Watch GT 7 Pro starts at £380/$512, and both will be available from September 2.
