NoPixel 5 Is Completely Overhauling GTA 5 Although we've known about the partnership for quite some time now, NoPixel V recently released a launch trailer showcasing all of the new features coming in the latest edition of the roleplay service with the official backing of Rockstar behind it. While the trailer showed off several brief glimpses, concepts, and a few features players can expect in the full release, the NoPixel team recently put out a series of development updates that showcase exactly what you'll be able to experience when their servers go live. Even though the service will be exclusively available for streamers when it goes into closed beta, several of the biggest improvements are absolutely breathtaking. Even though you can still tell NoPixel's servers are built using GTA 5 as a foundation upon closer inspection, the landscapes and environments have been changed so dramatically that it can be unrecognizable at times, with just a few of the improvements you can expect in the full release being the following features: Reworked textures for assets and map locations Major building overhauls around Downtown Los Santos and Cypress Flats New usable Pixel buildings replacing Mile High Club construction 1,000+ ownable properties, apartments, and houses New fully enterable interiors Drastically expanded character customization and model reworks 270+ new custom clothing items Reimagined menus, HUD, and in-game UI Overhauled lighting and shader systems Dramatic increase in foliage and environmental details Parallax Interiors adding more building depth New NPC and object interactions Completely new animation systems and character movement New Climbing, crouching, and leaning abilities All of these improvements only go up to the fourth developer update posted on September 4th as well, with plenty of new features that will show off more of the technical or gameplay side of things being showcased in the coming days before NoPixel 5's launch on September 8. GTA 5's Overhaul Still Has One Big Roadblock While all of these updates sound like something you would expect to see in a new feature showcase for GTA 6, regular Grand Theft Auto 5 players won't be able to access all of these exciting new mechanics, as they are exclusively tied to the NoPixel 5 roleplay servers. Although NoPixel 5 does plan to allow regular players into its beta tests and eventual full release, the whitelisted servers are still a highly coveted spot for many players and streamers alike, often costing plenty of time, dedication, and even money in order to get access to them. The roleplaying gameplay style of NoPixel 5 also plays drastically different than the standard GTA gameplay loop, trading in constant gunfights and car chases for working a 9-5 and playing a character, rather than yourself. While the rest of GTA 5's chaotic gameplay mechanics still exist within NoPixel, you'll still have to play by their rules to keep your spot on their servers, which have taken Grand Theft Auto 5 and the streaming world by storm over the past few years.
