We're a bit ashamed to admit, but it took us a good while to figure out the solution to this deceptively simple puzzle. Yes, it's really simple, but we all trip on the simplest of puzzles sometimes. We do have a solution for the puzzle, but if you'd like to figure it out for yourself, we will also give you a few tips in this guide so you can figure it out by yourself. What Lurks In The Shadow Quest Walkthrough For the most part, the entire quest is pretty simple. You go down to an underground lair, progress through the narrow hallways, and kill some grotesque enemies. Just when you start thinking how similar this quest looks to a Resident Evil game, you'll come across the dreaded mask room. In this room, you have to shoot four masks with your Bow in a specific order so you can unlock the cage which will give a new mask, which you need to open the door to the boss's room. At the back of the room, there are four identical masks mounted to windows. These can tell you the solution if you look at them from the other side. Each shadow shows different parts of the face and tells you the order of the solution. Instead of looking at each shadow as a face, try looking at them like they are round objects with holes on them. Each mask will have a different number of face parts, which indicates the order in which you have to shoot it. The Mask Solution The solution (from left to right): Three - Four - One - Two After you solve the Mask Puzzle, the rest of the quest is very straightforward: kill more Genma, fight the boss at the end, back to Kyoto for more Onimusha business.
