When you start getting a bit more serious about your Aniimo, you'll eventually want to create a team of Perfect companions which you'll likely use for end-game content. While that's all well and good, the first problem is: finding said Perfect Aniimo. That's where Wild Surges come into play. While you can just go out and randomly get your hands on a Perfect Aniimo, Wild Surges are a more "natural" way to catch them. Before you go and trigger your first Wild Surge, take a look at our guide so you know exactly what to do and so you can come prepared. What Are Wild Surges Wild Surges are three-minute events in Aniimo where you make a bunch of the same type of Aniimo (as well as its evolutions) spawn. There are plenty of places in Idyll, where you can cause a Wild Surge to appear. The reason why Wild Surges are useful is because, while you will catch a bunch of the same Aniimo, you'll also have a much higher chance of capturing a Perfect, a Sparkling, Umbral, Light or even a Prismana Aniimo. It's not always guaranteed, but you've got a much better chance than just catching them out in the open. How To Start A Wild Surge To start a Wild Surge, you need to find a Bloom. These are specific spots on the map (most regions in the game have at least one) that look like a bit of wind is blowing from the ground around a clear flower. When you find one, interact with it (they also become teleportation points) and select to Nurture them. Each day, you get three free Nurtures and the rest you have to pay using Vein Essences, which you get from various activities in the game. Each Bloom can spawn one of two types of Aniimo, but you can influence which one will appear by using a Shard. Once you activate a Wild Surge, Aniimo will start to spawn, and you will have exactly 180 seconds to catch 20 of them. Now, this might seem like a limited amount of time, but you actually have plenty, especially if you use a capturing method. Additionally, each time you finish a Wild Surge (capture the 20 Aniimo that appear) you'll be able to interact with the Bloom again and fill it with more Prismana Energy, and this will increase your chances of getting a Prismana Aniimo to spawn. More on the Prismana Aniimo later, but for now, let's take a look at the capturing methods. The Tumbler Method — The Preferred More Expensive One This is the default method the game expects you to use, and while it's not the most cost-effective, there are a few reasons why you should use it. By using the Tumbler (Cloud Aniipod), you'll turn into a rolling ball that collects everything and you have a few seconds to roll over and collect up to ten Aniimo. You can use two Tumblers to gather all 20 Aniimo (ten per Turmbler) and be done with a wild surge in as little as 30 seconds. The only problem is: The Tumbler Aniipods are expensive. Each one costs 200k Credits and you need two per Wild Surge.Yes, it's the fastest method, and yes, you can make that much money pretty easily, but it's still costly. The Hexxin Method - The Economic One Not as fast as the Tumbler, but definitely more cost-effective. For this method you need the Aniimo: Hexxin (you can find one in Mistwoods). Well, actually, you only need its Draw In ability. You may also get an Aniimo with an effective area Break Ability (we ended up using Helion, but any Aniimo that has a Break attack will do). Once you start a Wild Surge, use Hexxin's Draw In ability to gather all Aniimo in one spot. If you have that Break Aniimo, use it to lower the stamina of the drawn Aniimo. Then, simply start throwing Aniipods (the cheaper ones) at the Aniimo. It's not as clean and as effective as the Tumbler method, but it works really well after you build up your muscle memory, where you quickly switch and twine with your Hexxin and the Break Aniimo. Getting A Prismana Aniimo Using Wild Surges As you're finishing Wild Surges, you may notice that the Bloom is slowly getting filled with Prismana Energy. As it increase, it will go from Empty to Very Low, from Very Low to Slight, from Slight to Abundant, from Abundant to Very High, and from Very High to Full. When it reaches Full, a Prismana Flow will happen and a Prismana Aniimo will appear. Now contrary to popular belief, you don't actually have to get the Bloom to fill all the way to Full for a Prismana Aniimo to appear. For us, it appeared at Empty (if you can believe it), so it's just a matter of getting lucky. Once this happens, your map will open and show you the location of the Prismana Aniimo that just spawned. When this happens, you drop whatever you were doing, and go and capture a Prismana Aniimo (preferably in a Sparkling Cube). Wile you're gathering Aniimo during a Wild Surge, you can also trigger a Lucky or a Super Lucky capture. This fills your Prismana Energy a bit, meaning it will take you less time to trigger that elusive Prismana Aniimo.
