In collaboration with the publisher Fictions, the developers behind this new game are none other than Game Freak. Yes, the same Game Freak that makes Pokemon. While Game Freak has made other non-Pokemon games throughout the studio's lifespan, this is arguably one of the biggest titles the team has worked on, and players are eager to see what modern Game Freak can do when it's not tied to Pokemon and Nintendo. Though this is technically a JRPG, don't let that scare you. This game is nowhere near the hundred-plus-hour story that has become standard for most JRPGs these days. In fact, it's more in line with the length of your average Western RPG, if even that. How Long Does It Take To Complete The Story? If your goal is to complete the main story, and you're not concerned with collectibles or achievements, then you should expect to beat Beast of Reincarnation in approximately 25–35 hours. You do have some freedom to explore while playing, which can add up hours quickly, but the story itself is pretty linear, and you're often directly guided to objectives, so you won't waste time getting lost. That said, keep in mind that one main factor can extend that time. This time is based on those who choose to play the game on normal difficulty and find it challenging but manageable. If you tend to struggle more, but are adamant about playing on harder difficulties, you will likely need to repeat many fights, so your time will be longer than average. On the other hand, if you truly aren't looking for a challenge and want to experience the story, playing the game on Story difficulty may shave a few hours off your total time. How Long Does It Take To 100 Percent? While most achievements in the game are tied to collectibles, defeating enemies, and completing non-missable tasks, there is one achievement in particular that will drastically increase the time required to reach 100 percent. This achievement is called Reincarnated, and is unlocked by completing a New Game+ playthrough, where you'll face more challenges, but carry over some of your hard work from the first playthrough. Even though you get to carry over some of your progress, you're still being forced to complete the game twice to unlock everything, which will put a 100 percent completion playthrough at about 60–70 hours, especially given the grinding required for the other achievements and that you'll need to do a fair bit of exploring in each area.
