A DRIVER has died in a freak highway crash after a portable toilet reportedly tumbled off the back of a truck and into his path. The horrifying incident unfolded in broad daylight as the unsuspecting motorist allegedly slammed into the loose porta potty, suffering fatal injuries. Credit: Alamy Police said 56-year-old Ronald Langley was killed after the bizarre crash on Interstate 49 in Bentonville, Arkansas, at around 2pm on Friday. According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2007 International Harvester pickup truck was traveling southbound carrying two portable toilets when one of them reportedly fell into the highway’s middle lane. He was rushed to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, where he later died from his injuries. The fatal crash happened near the 86-mile marker on I-49, according to a preliminary crash summary. Investigators said the truck was traveling in the middle lane when the toilet came loose. The truck driver’s name has not been released, and it has not been confirmed whether any charges will be filed. Arkansas State Police said the weather was cloudy at the time of the crash, but road conditions were dry. Dashcam footage captured the vehicle veering off the highway, tearing through a yard and smashing into a telephone pole after driver Tyrice Fletcher, 28, allegedly sped away from officers at more than 100mph during a traffic stop. The infant was thrown from the SUV as it rolled over, while three other children aged under six were rescued from the wreckage by responding officers. All four children were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Fletcher was arrested after the crash and is being held at the Ouachita County Detention Center.
