(Credits: Indian Meteorological Department) RAINS LED TO TRAFFIC DISRUPTIONSThe changing weather also led to traffic disruptions in several parts of the capital, with heavy congestion reported on MB Road near Sangam Vihar.Traffic was particularly slow on the stretch between Vayusenabad and Sangam Vihar, with commuters reporting being stuck for nearly an hour. The congestion affected people travelling towards Delhi airport, offices and Saket Court. Several commuters said the traffic situation worsens whenever it rains in the city.An Air Force employee travelling through the area said he is frequently delayed while travelling to Vayusenabad station due to the traffic. He said the congestion often prevents employees from reaching work on time and that Monday's traffic had kept him stuck for around an hour.A cab passenger heading to Delhi airport said he had been stuck in traffic for around 30 minutes and was worried about missing his 1 pm flight. Another commuter said he had been caught in the jam for nearly an hour and was unable to proceed towards his destination.A traveller, AS Mohammad, said he was supposed to reach Saket Court at 10 am for a scheduled court hearing but remained stuck in traffic.Heavy rain was also witnessed across Noida, with visuals from Sectors 16, 39 and 95 showing showers lashing the city.The rainfall brought relief from the heat and humidity, while adding to the weather-related disruptions in parts of the NCR.GHAZIABAD WATERLOGGED TOOHeavy waterlogging was also reported near the Industrial Area underpass on NH-9 in Ghaziabad, causing inconvenience to motorists. Several vehicles were seen struggling to pass through the waterlogged stretch, while some drivers parked their vehicles along the roadside and waited for the water level to recede.Two-wheelers and cars were also seen getting stuck in the accumulated water.The waterlogging affected traffic movement in the area, with people travelling to work and for other essential purposes facing delays.Some pedestrians took shelter under the underpass, trees and other covered areas to avoid the rain.Despite the traffic and waterlogging, the rainfall brought relief from the heat and humidity.
