HARRY Potter star Miriam Margolyes was caught up in a ‘racism row’ – after using a slur during an interview on This Morning. Both my parents are black”, before joking: “What have they put on me, am I a lighter shade than normal?” Miriam then used an archaic slur originating from the US – before producers intervened off-screen. They are believed to have communicated with Andi via his ear piece, as he said out loud: “Oh, okay. They’re getting nervous now. It’s about inclusion.” This exchange was later removed from the ITVX version of the interview. After witnessing the uncomfortable dialogue, viewers took to X to share their disapproval. One commented: “This isn’t run of the mill racism. It’s 19th century American racism.” Another penned: “Miriam Margolyes just sounds like a run-of-the-mill racist here.
