Sign in to your ScreenRant account Halo is having a pretty great year in 2026. It has already had a number of new releases and is set to get even more in the coming months, much to the delight of fans. It's a much-needed respite, too, as the past few years have not necessarily been too kind to Xbox's legendary IP, with Halo 5 being lambasted critically and Halo Infinite struggling to retain the player base it so coveted while being riddled with controversy, such as its failure to implement many of its promised and fan-requested mechanics. Much of that has been squarely pushed into the past, as the critically acclaimed Halo: Campaign Evolved has endeared fans and mustered at least a little goodwill, and the aforementioned upcoming projects should only further bolster support for the iconic series. One such project is Zeta Halo, a new entry in a long-running Halo series that will delight fans and hopefully onboard newcomers, especially those who've begun playing it for the first time on PS5. Halo Studios Naturally, after the success of Halo: Campaign Evolved, fans want to know when the next Halo video game is set to release. There have been an abundance of rumors circulating online, wildly speculating what Halo Studios has up its sleeve, but the developer has yet to formally announce anything. Fortunately, there are plenty of other Halo projects for fans to get stuck into long before anything is made official, including the aforementioned Zeta Halo. Joining numerous other Halo projects launching in 2026, Zeta Halo is the latest expansion for Halo: Flashpoint, the miniature-based tabletop game. It introduces a plethora of new miniatures for both the UNSC Marines and the Covenant and is centered around the setting of Halo Infinite of the same name. Zeta Halo was announced a little while ago, and pre-orders for the expansion have been going rather well. So well, in fact, that its creator, Mantic Games, had to issue a warning to prospective buyers to pre-order quickly, as stock is running low. Flashpoint has proven to be one of the best Halo games in recent years, featuring gorgeous models based on the in-game designs, as well as a phenomenal set of rules that are complex enough for veterans of the medium to jump on board, and accessible enough to entice newcomers who've never touched a tabletop game in their life. Zeta Halo is yet another set, among many previous excellent ones, that further fleshes out the experience and delivers a great tactical tabletop game that rivals the very best on the market. Zeta Halo is still available for pre-order via Mantic Games' official website, although the currently available bundles featuring all of the new units will be delisted as of August 31 (or earlier should stock run out) in order to allow people to purchase the boxes individually. The set should be shipping around early September, although Mantic Games has stated that a more precise shipping date will be announced closer to the time. Regardless, Zeta Halo is a great new expansion for Flashpoint fans, and a good excuse for Halo enthusiasts who've never played to jump on board.
