Indeed, as July ends and August begins, fans are sure that we’re bound to see Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay in a month or two, or that Trailer 3 will be announced promptly, in order to sustain the immense hype that Grand Theft Auto 6 has garnered. But there’s the rub. Grand Theft Auto 6 has never needed to indulge in pre-release marketing to maintain the excessive levels of hype that it has enjoyed, with Trailer One, Trailer Two, and Rockstar’s website assets seemingly being rare treats for fans, and marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6’s Standard and Ultimate editions was only necessary due to these editions’ preorders launching in the tail-end of June. In fact, fans have proven that they’ll be stirred by any apparent movement Rockstar makes, and that’s certainly the case with fans’ most recent bout of excitement. On Reddit, fans are sharing how they’ve noticed that “Rockstar has updated their GTA 6 website 3 times in the past 24 hours.” To be fair, it’s always in fans’ best interests to never get too excited without reasonable cause, as Rockstar updating its website could mean nothing significant. However, fans may not be wrong to speculate about this possibly meaning that a new announcement or reveal is around the corner. With Grand Theft Auto 6 so close to launch, perhaps fans can afford to look forward to more marketing coming soon. User HearTheEkko proposes a hypothetical timeline that many fans would love: “Trailer 3 in August, the first gameplay showcase in September, second one in October and launch trailer in early November.” It’d be bizarre to suddenly see a gradual string of scheduled marketing tactics for Grand Theft Auto 6, considering how long Rockstar has kept tight-lipped, though nothing would keep the attention in its corner more for the next few months than an announcement of trailers and gameplay showcases premiering on a monthly basis until launch. In the meantime, all we can do is wait.
