That sex requires consent and that following women or blocking their path is unacceptable. Crucially, it explains that sex with anyone under 16 is a criminal offence, even if they say yes. Perhaps the Lefties behind the “migrants welcome” protests might care to explain why the Home Office feels it necessary to hand out leaflets telling undocumented men landing on our shores how to behave. The answer is simple but uncomfortable: Because not all foreign cultures match British laws. That is not to say that every asylum seeker poses a threat. Nor does it justify hostility towards migrants. But it does justify the concerns of families living near migrant camps, hotels and houses of multiple occupation. This leaflet proves they were right to demand answers. They deserved to be heard — not vilified. But keeping the original plan could have spared communities much misery, saved millions of pounds and countless lives. But 30 days on, all we got was a sharp intake of breath at the latest inflation figures. Prices are rising and wages aren’t keeping pace. Hard-working families are squeezed from both sides. The Bank of England predicts a further inflation rise this year, with energy prices and rail fares all expected to rise in the coming months — all compounded by the war in Iran. The PM says he can’t control what’s happening in the Middle East. But he can rein in public spending and ease off on taxes to give us all a breather.
