Godzilla's sheer physical strength makes him one of the most difficult opponents in the entire kaiju genre, because even enemies capable of matching his energy attacks must contend with a colossal predator that can crush them through brute force alone. Godzilla's durability makes his physical advantage even harder to overcome, as even though he certainly can be defeated under the right circumstances, he inevitably returns with a vengeance. Godzilla's additional abilities vary substantially across appearances. Besides his iconic atomic breath, several incarnations can also release a nuclear pulse or emit catastrophic amounts of heat and radiation. His regenerative healing allows him to recover from severe wounds, with some versions rebuilding damaged tissue at extraordinary speeds. Godzilla is also an accomplished amphibious fighter, capable of swimming at incredible speeds and battling kaiju opponents on virtually every type of battlefield, be it on land, underwater, or in vulcanic scenarios. His immense stamina, resistance to extreme temperatures, sharp teeth and claws, powerful tail, and ability to survive conditions that would kill ordinary organisms make Godzilla unbeatable. As if Godzilla's baseline abilities weren't enough, certain versions of the King of the Monsters receive unique enhancements that make them even more powerful. Weapon 'Zilla Is Enhanced By Ghost Rider, Becoming Capable Of Unleashing The Penance Stare Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #4; Written By Gerry Duggan; Art By Javier Garrón & David Curiel After defying fate and bringing the Avengers of Doom back from the dead with the help of Odin 1,000,000 BC, Miles Morales leads the final stand against Godzilla in Marvel's Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #4. Each of the heroes prepares their personal rematch against the King of the Monsters, including Ghost Rider, who lands on top of the multiversal Gojira Weapon 'Zilla and channels his Penance Stare through the kaiju. Emitting flames from his mouth and eyes like a Ghost Rider and wielding his Wolverine-like claws, Weapon 'Zilla attacks Godzilla and manages to remove several of his scales. The Spirit of Vengeance-possessed Weapon 'Zilla would be the most powerful reinvention of the King of the Monsters if not for the main Gojira's sheer refusal to stand down. As is now usual for Ghost Rider's Penance Stare, the ability doesn't work on the main Godzilla, who shakes off its effects. However, Weapon 'Zilla could easily defeat most of the Marvel Universe's villains with this set of abilities. In theory, if he couldn't beat supervillains with sheer strength and destructive power, he could achieve it by overloading them with the guilt of their sins. Weapon 'Zilla Could Easily Defeat Most Of Godzilla's Enemies Few Godzilla Antagonists Could Survive An Encounter With Weapon 'Zilla Kaijus like Anguirus have armored hide that make them dangerous to grapple, but Weapon 'Zilla could target their neck and joints with his claws to eliminate them in a matter of minutes. Baragon's digging and burrowing would let him launch surprise attacks, while Gorosaurus's powerful legs and signature kangaroo kick could knock Weapon 'Zilla off balance. However, neither has a proper defense against adamantium blades capable of cutting through extremely durable armor. Rodan would be harder to pin down because of his flight speed and aerial attacks, but Weapon 'Zilla's claws would eventually take down the flying kaiju. Gigan could put up a much better fight with his own cutting weapons, hooks, and, in some incarnations, projectile attacks. Yet, Weapon 'Zilla's combination of a healing factor and giant adamantium claws would win him the fight at close range. Weapon 'Zilla would likely defeat many opponents that depend primarily on brute force. But against powerhouses like King Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, Destoroyah, and other kaiju with overwhelming ranged attacks and unusual defenses, Weapon 'Zilla would likely have to unleash Ghost Rider's Penance Stare to guarantee a clear victory.
