Full list of 14 EVs eligible for £3,750 discount – including Ford, Fiat and MINI Countryman

JUST over a year ago, the UK Government announced its new Electric Car Grant (ECG) scheme. The ECG helps to reduce the price of qualifying EVs by up to £3,750, making the models more accessible. Abarth 500e The Abarth 500e is eligible for a £3,750 discount under the ECG Credit: PA While similar models qualify for the lesser discount, the smaller Abarth 500e falls under the Band 1 grant. This means that the £3,750 can bring the price of this car below £25,000. You can find the Alpine A290 currently listed for around £30,245. Citroen e-C5 Aircross Long Range The Citroen e-C5 Aircross Long Range is included under Band 1 of the scheme Credit: Citroen (handout) The new Citroen e-C5 Aircross also qualifies for the higher £3,750 grant, giving motorists a 421-mile range for less than £33,000. However, it is worth noting that only the Long Range version is included under Band 1. Ford Puma Gen-E The Ford Puma Gen-E can be purchased at a £3,750 discount Credit: PA With Ford production occuring widely in the UK, it is no surprise the manufacturer was the first to have any of its electric cars officially qualify for the full £3,750 grant. This discount means the Puma EV is actually cheaper to buy than the petrol-powered version. Ford E-Tourneo Courier The Ford E-Tourneo Courier has also been reduced under Band 1 of the scheme Credit: FORD Like the Puma Gen-E, this model is also produced in the UK and can be purchased at a £3,750 discount. The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is currently priced at just £28,940. Kia EV2 Long Range The Kia EV2 is included under Band 1 of the ECG scheme Credit: PA A number of Kia models are eligible for discounts under the Government grant. This includes the smaller EV2, which is currently priced around £24,245. MINI Countryman Electric The MINI Countryman S is available under the Band 1 discount Credit: Getty This all-electric subcompact luxury crossover SUV by Mini is one of the few models that qualifies for top-tier of the grant. With a range of up to 285 miles, the Countryman Electric offers a roomy interior filled with tech from just £29,255. Nissan Leaf The Nissan Leaf is included in the top-tier of the ECG Credit: Nissan/David Shepherd A popular model for 2026, the Nissan Leaf also qualifies for the full £3,750 discount. It is currently priced from just £28,849. Nissan Micra The Nissan Micra can also be purchased at a £3,750 discount Credit: PA Similarly, Nissan’s Micra can also be purchased at a £3,750 under the ECG scheme. This makes it a highly affordable electric option, with prices currently starting from just £21,495. Renault 4 The Renault 4 falls under the top-tier of the ECG scheme Credit: PA This small SUV has proved popular among auto enthusiasts and can now be purchased at a £3,750 discount. Widely considered the best in the Band 1 bunch, this model is currently available from £23,445. Renault 5 Comfort Range The Renault 5 Comfort Range is also included under Band 1 Credit: Renault And Renault’s 5 Comfort Range is also included in this top tier, offering motorists a significant discount. A smaller alternative to the Renault 4, this vehicle is priced at just £21,495.
