‘This is a joke, she was the best,’ one gutted fan wrote (Picture: BBC/Hungry Bear/Shutterstock/Getty) A fourth Gladiators star has reportedly been cut from the series. This week, fans of the high-octane BBC show were devastated to learn that some of their favourite personalities won’t be competing this year. It was reported that two of the show’s stars, Bionic and Athena, won’t be able to compete in the upcoming season due to injuries, months after Giant was axed over a dispute about his girlfriend’s OnlyFans job. It’s now been claimed that Cyclone, who joined Gladiators in January 2025, has also been cut from the line-up. The Irish powerlifting champion, whose real name is Lystus Ebosele, is said to have scrapped all traces of the programme from her personal Instagram account, although her Cyclone page remains active. ‘Cyclone won’t be back and she’s not happy about it,’ a source told The Sun. Ebosele is yet to comment on the report, but it’s also been reported that she’s unfollowed Hungry Bear, the production company behind Gladiators, on Instagram. Bionic is reportedly out of action for filming this year (Picture: BBC) The programme is currently filming its fourth season in Sheffield (Picture: BBC/Hungry Bear Media Ltd/Graeme Hunter) Earlier this week, a source told the publication that while Bionic and Athena will be out of action for this year’s season, they’ll hopefully be able to return. ‘They won’t film this year for the show but could be back for the tour, depending on how they recover from their injuries,’ they said. In March this year, Athena, whose real name is Karenjeet Kaur Bains, shared a video on TikTok detailing her six-month recovery journey after having surgery on her ACL. ‘Six and a half months ago, the journey of recovery after surgery was uncertain. What began with crutches and the slow process of learning to walk again has transformed into dynamic movement, including running and agility drills with quick direction changes,’ she wrote in her caption. ‘The path has not been without its challenges. There were difficult days, setbacks, moments of pain, and periods where progress felt excruciatingly slow. For those currently navigating their own recovery, know that you are seen and not alone in this struggle.’ Meanwhile, Giant, aka Jamie Bigg, recently opened up about being replaced on Gladiators by Tom Stoltman, champion of the World’s Strongest Man. ‘Tom’s a fantastic person and I know he’ll absolutely smash it on the show. He’s got a heart of gold and will be a brilliant addition to the line-up,’ he told Metro. ‘I wish him the very best of luck.’ Gladiators representatives declined to comment when contacted by Metro. Metro has also contacted Ebosele for comment.
