Former England manager, 73, who had huge role in David Beckham’s career lands shock job coaching Thailand

A statement from the Thailand FA confirmed the appointment of Taylor to Hudson’s staff, where he also joins another English assistant in Kane Wintersgill. Hudson, 45, said: “Regarding Peter Taylor, we wanted to bring in an additional support member to assist with training. “Of course, he isn’t coming in to replace anyone or take over anyone’s role, but rather to support the entire staff and help make our work more efficient.” Taylor’s expertise will particularly be used to enhance the quality of training drills and physical conditioning. It is a role reversal from when Hudson worked as an assistant to Taylor when he managed Bahrain between 2011 and 2012.
