The story and world building are particularly exceptional, even if some of the major moments are let down a little by voice acting that doesn't necessarily fit the tone. The linear nature of the game was also a little divisive among the player base at the time, but returning to it today actually marks it out as a nice change of pace. As such, it's always nice to see it return in any form, and a new release is bringing it to an entirely new medium for the first time. Square Enix As first reported by RPG Site, Final Fantasy X is currently celebrating 25 years since its debut, and as part of that, Square Enix has confirmed the release of FINAL FANTASY X - House Grooves. The 12-track album brings the old soundtrack back to life with plenty of new bells and whistles, with the publisher sharing some insight into what fans can expect: "The second installment of the hit arrangement House Grooves is now on sale. This arrangement album features songs from FINAL FANTASY X with deep house reverberations. This carefully created 12-song album lets you relive your days with the most memorable tunes from the game in vivid floor sound. Give yourself an unforgettable experience that is both fresh yet familiar." There are also a ton of different featured artists this time around, all bringing their own spin to the classic music from the game. The full list of those is as follows: Christian Dinh Gulino DJ Synthesizer Kai Saruwatari JT Donaldson John Griffin and a ghost Lonely Boy HAIOKA Andreas Saag Michinobu Takarada Ai Kakihira Chocoholic Terry McGowan That's far from the only release coming to mark the occasion out either, with the big news undoubtedly being the arrival of the FINAL FANTASY X | X-2 HD Remaster on the Nintendo Switch 2. That launches digitally tomorrow (July 23), with a physical release with special sleeve set to arrive around a month later on August 27. Square Enix Beyond that, there's still more than enough for fans of the franchise to be excited about, with the final part of the remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Revelation slated for release in Spring 2027. That will mark the end of a major journey for Square Enix, bringing one of the best games in the series back to life, so it will be interesting to see what they do next.
